Donald Trump Becomes ‘Official Republican Presidential
Nominee’

Donald
Trump has officially racked up enough votes to formally become recognized as
the Republican nominee for the upcoming presidential election. Many people
first viewed his announcement of running as a political joke. People were
shocked by his outspoken and inappropriate views and many overlooked him as a
possible competitor in the presidential election. The news that Trump will now
be representing the republican nomination has proved these ideas to be quite
the opposite. Trump’s two republican competitors dropped out of the race in
early May. Ever since then, people have waited as an unopposed Trump watched as
votes rose to the necessary 1, 237 needed to become the official nominee.
Personally
I have found the success of Trump’s political campaign as a complete shock.
When he first announced his campaign, I didn’t think that he would get as far
as he did in the race. I was shocked by the amount of supporters he has across
the United States and the amount of people that agree with his views. I find
many of the things he says to be wildly unacceptable in this day and age. I
would like to see America be able to elect someone who will help the country
reach its full potential and by electing Donald Trump, I think that it will be
a negative decision for the country and all the citizens in it.
